Campus Safety & Security Meeting Minutes

February 21, 2025

Members Present:     Kevin Altenhofel, Angelo Cutrona, Myisha Cutrona, Mark Gibson, Gustavo Gonzalez, Monserrat González, Vince Maiocco, Julian Martinez, Mariza Martinez, Brett Redd, Sergio Gomez (guest), and Jessica White (recording secretary)

Members Absent:      Heather del Rosario and Justin Madding

Call to Order:          

The Taft College Campus Safety & Security meeting was called to order at 11:06 a.m.

Minutes – January 31, 2025:

The minutes for the January 31, 2025 meeting was approved by consensus.

Campus Crime Log:

The committee reviewed the campus crime log and noted that two incidents have occurred since the previous meeting.

Workplace Violence Incidents:

There have been no new incidents reported since the last meeting.

Lockdown Readers:

Convergent has installed two new lockdown readers on the upper floor of the Administration Building. A test was conducted by Campus Safety and Maintenance & Operations and results were shared with the committee

Other:

Committee members discussed safety procedures, lighting issues, cameras, campus safety app, and charter revision.

Adjournment:         

The meeting adjourned at 11:48am
