Taft College leadership is shared by the school’s Board of Trustees, Office of the President, faculty (through the Academic Senate of Taft College), and students (through the Associated Student Organization).

Academic Senate


The Academic Senate of Taft College represents the faculty of the West Kern Community College District. It makes recommendations concerning academic and professional matters. It has an established set of subcommittees composed of Taft College faculty members from across the campus. More information is available on its webpage.

Associated Student Organization (ASO)


The Associated Student Organization (ASO) is the official governing organization of students enrolled at Taft College. Students are encouraged to be active in the ASO, engage in student government, and/or seek elective office. More information about the ASO is available on its webpage.
