Guided Self-Placement
Get Into the English and Math Classes that are Right for You
In lieu of an assessment test, Taft College uses a Guided Self-Placement tool in reading, English and math using high school and/or college transcripts. Using your transcripts, you can get placed into appropriate classes!
If you aren’t sure what classes you need, use the resource below to see what is best for you.
- I’ve completed college level English, reading, or math at another college, along with
other classesComplete the Pre-req Clearance Form, or meet with your counselor to review prior credit and ensure appropriate clearance.
- I’m a new student with no prior college creditComplete the self-guided placement form to see your next steps.
