Petroleum Technology Well Control and Drilling Certificates I-V


Description

This Certificate Program is designed to provide training and education in petroleum technology specific to well control and drilling. The certificate options are designed to provide training and knowledge in oilfield blow-out prevention, offshore drilling operations, well control, drilling, and coiled tubing. Each certificate option is built upon one another. Therefore, students may earn one or all five of the certificate options offered. Some of the classes in the Program are offered in partnership with our WESTEC (Westside Energy Services and Education Center)  location. Please note: This links to an external website.

Potential Earnings

If you continue your studies and earn an Associate Degree in Energy Technology, that degree offers you the salary potential of $48,193 two years after graduation from Taft College, with expected increases by five years, based on five-year studies of graduates by California Community Colleges. These do not reflect salaries with a four-year degree.1
