ASO Scholarships

Available Scholarships


  • ASO Academic Excellence Scholarship

    ASO Academic Excellence Scholarship: The recipient must:

    • be transferring to a four-year institution
    • have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average for all classes taken at Taft College as of the fall semester before graduation

    Academic excellence of the student shall be the primary selection criteria.

  • ASO Athletic Achievement & Excellence Scholarship

    ASO Athletic Achievement & Excellence Scholarship: The recipient must:

    • have been an active member of a Taft College athletic team for two consecutive years
    • be transferring to a four-year institution to continue athletically and academically
    • have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average for all classes taken at Taft College as of the fall semester before graduation and be a positive, competitive member on their team

    Letters from coaches are recommended for this scholarship.

  • ASO Financial Need Scholarship

    ASO Financial Need Scholarship: The recipient must:

    • be transferring to a four-year institution
    • have a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average for all classes taken at Taft College as of the fall semester before graduation 

    Financial need of the student shall be the primary selection criteria

  • ASO Scholarship (faculty recommendation)

    ASO Scholarship (faculty recommendation): The recipient must:

    • be transferring to a four-year institution
    • must have a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average for all classes taken at Taft College as of the fall semester before graduation

    Financial need of the student shall not be used as selection criteria. Applicants must include recommendation from a Taft College Faculty member to be considered for this scholarship.

  • ASO Active Club Member Scholarships (two)

    ASO Active Club Member Scholarships (two): The recipient must:

    • be actively involved in a campus club and shall be nominated by a club advisor
    • have a minimum 2.0 G.P.A. and be in good standing with the college and community

    The following documentation shall be used as justification for the club member’s active involvement:

    • Event reports submitted by the club advisor
    • Agenda Meeting notes showing roll call
    • Monthly club attendance rosters
