TAFT COLLEGE (WEST KERN CCD) SUPERINTENDENT/PRESIDENT SEARCH

 

The Governing Board of the West Kern CCD (Taft College) is seeking an equity-minded, dynamic, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as Superintendent/President. The Superintendent/President will be responsible for providing effective leadership and administrative management for all operational activities at the College and the District.

March 20-22, 2024 Selected candidates are invited to visit the campus, present at candidate forums, and participate in second level interviews (finalists will be reimbursed up to $1,500 for travel expenses)
April 10, 2024 Governing Board considers approval of employment agreement for selected candidate
June 2024 Superintendent/President begins employment

Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the Superintendent/President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the District and of the College itself.   • A completed Taft College employment application.
  • A letter of interest that addresses how the applicant’s skills and experiences align with the desirable qualifications and the ideal characteristics listed in the position profile (not to exceed 3 pages).
  • A current resume or curriculum vitae that includes educational background, professional experience, professional activities, and any other experience pertinent to the position.
