On Thursday, November 7, 2019, the Taft College Foundation hosted a luncheon at the Taft College ETEC Building to accept a generous donation of $25,000 from Phillips 66. Included in the festivities will be Taft College Foundation Board Members, Industry Partners, the Taft College Board of
Trustees, Taft College Engineering Students, and Lincoln Junior High AVID Students.

The Taft College Foundation works directly with Taft College faculty and industry professionals to support and build student success, both in and out of the classroom, in Engineering, Energy, and K-14 Stem Outreach. It is projected that this funding will support Taft students pursuing degrees in mathematics, sciences, engineering, or computer science. In addition to improving academic
performance, it is hoped an increase in leadership skills, educational expectations, and strengthened relationships between educators and prospective employers in both business and industry will also result.

As the program unfolds, news releases will periodically be extended to external media outlets regarding ceremonies and accompanying activities related to the overall program. Inclusion will also be provided through the college’s website-social media.
