Julie Bush
Juliana “Julie” May Bush is a thoughtful problem solver, a patient teacher, and a committed advocate for accessible learning. Known for her calm presence and meticulous attention to detail, Julie has built a career at the intersection of technology, education, and inclusion—driven by a genuine desire to help others succeed.
A Taft native, Julie discovered her passion for computing early, drawn to the elegance of code and the satisfaction of making complex systems work for real people. After earning her Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Math, and Science with Highest Honors from Taft College, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering at Arizona State University, where she is maintaining a 3.80 GPA. Her academic curiosity reflects who she is at her core: someone who loves to understand how things work and how they can be improved.
Julie currently serves as an Accessibility Technician at Taft College, a role that blends her technical expertise with her commitment to equity. She develops training for faculty and staff, designs accessible documents and webpages, and supports students and instructors using Canvas. She approaches every support request—whether by email, phone, or in person—with patience and empathy, focusing on solutions that empower rather than overwhelm.
Beyond her work at Taft College, Julie has also contributed to the academic community at Arizona State University as an undergraduate teaching assistant in computer science. She enjoys helping students grasp challenging concepts and takes pride in watching them gain confidence in their abilities.
