Debora Rodenhauser


Debora Rodenhauser is a Professor of Studio Arts at Taft College. She holds an Associate in Science Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art. She furthered her education by attending California State University, Bakersfield, where she earned her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Public Policy and Administration and Public Art.

Rodenhauser has a rich history of exhibiting her artwork. Her exhibitions include multiple Bakersfield College faculty exhibitions at the Wylie and May Louise Jones Gallery in Bakersfield, "Ancient Meets Modern" at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, California State University, Bakersfield Faculty exhibition at the Los Angeles Artcore Brewery Annex, multiple "Postcards From The Edge" Visual AIDS Benefit exhibits at Brent Sikkema Galleries in New York, "Indigenous Worlds" at the Fox at Jill Thayer Galleries in Bakersfield, and "Art from a New Viewpoint" at The Second City Council Gallery in Long Beach, California.

One of her favorite quotes, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, is: "To develop a complete mind: Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else.”

Born and raised in California, Rodenhauser grew up in Redding, near Lake Shasta. She enjoys activities such as fishing, hiking, water skiing, and snow skiing.
