Internship Program

The Taft College Internship Program is designed to provide students with opportunities to grow their technical and soft skills through practical application and real-world experience. The knowledge and experience cultivated during the internship and educational process assist Taft College in producing the ideal employee for our industry partners.

An internship offers students the chance to “learn by doing” in a setting where they are supervised by a workplace professional. Students have the opportunity to achieve learning goals as well as to gain confidence in applying the technical skills they have learned in an educational setting.

Student Application Process

The following four steps are required and are the responsibility of any student interested in an internship:

  1. STEP I — Review Taft College Internship Student Handbook (PDF)
  2. STEP II — Complete a Student Internship Interest Form
  3. STEP III — Email a Taft College faculty member a Faculty Evaluation Form

After completing the above application process, contact Joe’ll Chaidez, CTE Counselor, at 661-763-7962, to schedule an appointment.
