Learning the Value of H20!

The Taft College Summer STEM Camp gave 24 students (6-8th grade), who reside within the West Kern Community College District an opportunity to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with a hands on approach to support interested young men and women to pursue careers in the STEM fields.  The Summer STEM Camps are funded by the US Dept. of Education, The Taft College Foundation Petroleum Partners and the STEM Corporate Circle Sponsors.

Our Theme: Water, why is it important, how do we use it, how do we make it useable, how do we make robots that work in water.  The students learned much more than the above, as the focus was project and teamwork.  And as you can see from our video, it Worked
