OVERVIEW
Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society of the Two-Year College. The Taft College chapter was chartered in the fall of 2002 as the Beta Lambda Zeta chapter.
Phi Theta Kappa has recognized academic excellence in the two-year college since 1918 and has become the largest and the most prestigious honor society serving two-year colleges around the world.
MISSION
The mission of Taft College's PTK chapter is to offer a myriad of opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment, and personal development through programs based on Phi Theta Kappa's four hallmarks: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship. It also aims toward encouraging students to uphold academic excellence. |
