Scholarship Information

TC Scholarship
$125 per semester (up to 4 semesters depending on continued eligibility)

Either graduate from high school with GPA of 3.0 or above

- OR, if previous college student -

Cumalative GPA 3.0 or higher and completed a minimum of 12 units or more in a previous semester
Enroll directly into Taft College as a full time (12 units or more) matriculating student
Only eligible for four semesters
CA resident who are also residents of WKCCD & its contiguos districts
Deadline 3rd Friday of semester

TO APPLY: Complete and submit Section A of the TC Scholarship Application. Sign and date. Available via the link below or at TC Financial Aid Office.

Merit Scholarship
$300 per semester (up to 2 semesters depending on continued eligibility)

TUHS & Maricopa graduating seniors with GPA of 3.0 or higher
Enroll directly into Taft College as a full time (12 units or more) matriculating student
No application required

Addington Partnership Scholarship
$500 per year
Four Scholarships Awarded

Graduate from high school with GPA of 3.0 or above
Enroll directly into Taft College as a full time (12 units or more) matriculating student
Preference given to Kern County High School graduates

Chevron Scholarship
$500 per year (up to 4 semesters depending on continued funding)
Five Scholarships Awarded in 2007

Graduate from high school with GPA of 3.0 or above
Enroll directly into Taft College as a full time (12 units or more) matriculating student
Preference given to students interested in an Engineering, Science or Math curriculum

Clarence Berry Memorial Scholarship
$500 per semester (up to 4 semesters dependent on continued funding)
5 scholarships awarded to individuals enrolling into college for the first time

Taft Union and Maricopa High School graduate with GPA of 3.0 or higher
Enroll directly into Taft College with 15 units or more and be a matriculating student
2nd-4th semester criteria-Re-enroll at Taft College in 15 units or more and be a matriculating student. Must pass prior units with a grade of C or better. Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.

TO APPLY: Submit a completed copy of Taft Union or Maricopa HS Local Scholarship Program Application including 2 personal letters of recommendations and student letter.

Oxy Scholarship
$500 per semesters (up to 4 semesters dependent on continued funding)

Graduate from Kern County High School with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Enroll directly into Taft College with 15 units or more and be a matriculating student. Earn cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above
2nd-4th semester criteria-Re-enroll at Taft College in 15 units or more and be a matriculating student. Earn cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.

California Strawberry Growers' Scholarship Fund

Must be children of strawberry farm workers and have at least one parent currently employed in the California strawberry harvest.
All materials must be postmarked no later than March 14, 2008.
