REGISTRATION SCHEDULE

Orientation and Assessment Schedule

Priority Registration is as follows:

1. EOPS, VA
      Scheduling begins Monday, April 21 Schedule will be available online at http://www.taftcollege.edu/newTC/StudentServices/schedule.htm
    
2. CONTINUING MATRICULATING SSS, PHI THETA KAPPA STUDENTS, TAFT COLLEGE STAFF, CONTINUING ASB OFFICERS, AND ATHLETES
      Scheduling begins Monday, April 28
    
3. CONTINUING MATRICULATING STUDENTS
      Scheduling begins Monday, May 5
    
4. HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN WEST KERN CC DISTRICT
      Scheduling for seniors will be held Monday, May 12 through Thursday, May 15, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    
5. RETURNING (FORMER) MATRICULATING STUDENTS, NEW MATRICULATING STUDENTS (WITHOUT BACHELOR OR ADVANCED DEGREE). Must take placement test and complete orientation prior to scheduling classes.
     Scheduling begins Monday, May 19
    
6. STUDENTS EXEMPT FROM MATRICULATION
      Scheduling begins Tuesday, May 27
    

The following categories of students are exempt from participation in orientation, assessment,
advising, and follow-up components of the matriculation program.

1. Those students who have completed an associate degree or higher at any postsecondary institution.
2. Those students enrolling in community service or non-credit courses only.
3. K-12 students concurrently enrolling at the College.
4. Those students enrolling in contract education or courses for in-service training only.
5. Those students enrolling in no more than eight units per semester for the purpose of personal enrichment or job related skills excluding English and Math courses.
