Orientation & Assessment Schedule

The following steps will help you complete the on campus Orientation and Assessment Process:

1. Choose a date and time from the schedule below (allow approximately 3 hours for Orientation and Assessment).
2. Call the Counseling Center at 661.763.7748 to schedule your date and time.
3. Arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete your application for the appropriate semester(s), or complete the on-line application for the appropriate semester(s) and arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
4. After completing Orientation and Assessment testing, call the Counseling Center to schedule a counseling/advising appointment.
5. A photo ID is required to take the assessment.(Please bring a valid picture ID)

The following categories of students are exempt from participation in orientation, assessment, advising, and follow-up components of the matriculation program.

1. Those students who have completed an associate degree or higher at any postsecondary institution.
2. Those students enrolling in community service or non credit courses only.
3. K-12 students concurrently enrolling at the College.
4. Those students enrolling in contract education or courses for inservice training only.
5. Those students enrolling in no more than eight units per semester for the purpose of personal enrichment or job related skills excluding English and Math courses.

     Please call the Counseling Center to sign up (661) 763-7748.

Please report to the Counseling Center for testing 1/2 hr. prior to test time.
