Financial Obligations for Matriculating Students

If you are requesting Financial Aid to satisfy your financial obligation to Taft College you must do the following before registering for classes:

Note: Most of the forms are in Acrobat pdf format and need to be printed and mailed, faxed, or returned to the Financial Aid office.

Complete the Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW) and return it to the Financial Aid office. This will pay your $26.00 per unit enrollment fee if you qualify. (link to BOGW for 04-05)
Complete the Taft College supplemental forms (link to forms)
Complete the (FAFSA) Free Application for Federal Student Aid. (Link to Site-applying for Financial Aid) This is for Federal and State assistance.

Important: All forms must be received by the Financial Aid office in order to discuss your eligibility for Financial Aid. (This must be done before you can register for classes.)

Send the estimated "EFC" and copy of the signature page to:

You will also need to send the original signature page to the federal student aid office. (Address located on signature page.)

This must be done 2 weeks prior to the 1^st day of each semester term or immediately if registering within 2 weeks prior or the 1 ^st day of the semester.

Example: Fall 02- If you register on 8/1/02 you will have until 8/8/02 to complete all paperwork; if you register on 8/8/02 or after all paperwork must be submitted immediately.
