A Note About Westec -- Westside Energy Services Training and Education Center, Inc. was founded in 1982 in response to a need for vocational training specific to the petroleum and related industries. Now, 20 years later we are still responding to the needs of industry, and not just those producing energy. The programs offered are applicable to a wide range of light-to-heavy industries.  Toward that end, WESTEC will cooperate with industry to determine training requirements, establish and carry out programs that meet the identified needs, acquire resources to conduct these programs effectively, produce and provide training materials, and conduct its activities in cooperation with those of Taft College and other entities.
