Criminal Justice Administration--Corrections Program
Taft College offers an Associate in Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration with a Corrections focus through its Distance Learning Program. Utilizing the Internet, this two year degree program provides students the opportunity to gain knowledge in a non-traditional college setting. Using C-POST approved course outlines, Taft College provides relevant curriculum to assist students in achieving their career goals.

For the Associate Degree, 60 units are required, including the CJA core courses and general education requirements. Prior course work will be evaluated by the Taft College counseling staff.

By cooperating with the California Board of Corrections, we meet the legal requirements set forth by the law for Corrections Officer Core Training, as well as PC 832 of the California Penal Code for Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). We also hire qualified instructors with years of experience in the industry.
