About Lyn "Mimi" Collins, EdD
| Dr. Collins came to Taft College, California in 1999 as the
administrative director of the Library/Learning Resources Center and also served as
the campus instructional librarian. Dr. Collins had previously
been a high school English teacher, a school librarian, a county
school librarian, a public librarian, and an administrative
librarian at a state library. Following her early schooling in
Richmond and Watsonville, CA, she attended 5th grade through
community college in the former Panama Canal Zone, then went on
to earn
her teaching certificate and doctoral degree in the U.S. Dr.
Collins and her husband were traveling educators, having worked
at schools in American Samoa, Arizona, Australia, Micronesia,
Missouri, and West Africa as well as in both Northern and
Southern California. |
