Philosophy of Teaching

Teaching should be student-oriented. The role of the instructor should be to facilitate exploration of course work and show how this course work is relevant to the student's world. Instruction should allow the student time to discuss, analyze, express opinions, and receive opinions from peers and the instructor.

Instructors should help the student to think critically and help the student see the relationships between different ideas and concepts. The student should know the process of critical analysis as well as be able to produce an artifact from that process.
