the United States with an emphasis on the constitutional background of
the federal system.

6th Edition, Prentice Hall, 2005.
- Rental price is
20% of the cost of the textbook. Available from the TC Bookstore
or other online bookstores.
Estimated Time Per Week: Students can expect to spend, on
average, at least 10 hours per week reading, writing papers, and
taking tests. Plan to log in to the class on Etudes at least every
2-3 days. Check the schedule and announcements section frequently.
Special Requirements: Lectures will be delivered by video.
Students will view the videos in QuickTime and must have a broadband
Internet connection.
Assignments & Tests: Students will complete a book
review and three examinations.
Proctored Exams: None. All are done on the Etudes System.
Additional Comments: The course syllabus contains all the
information necessary for taking this course. Careful and thorough
reading of it is essential and suffices for orientation.
