Geography 1520: Cultural Geography
Students will learn
the foundations of the academic discipline of cultural geography. Students
will become familiar with the basic concepts and theories of cultural
geography by applying them to national and international environments. This
course will introduce the student to the demographic and spatial analysis as
well as the cultural applications of that analysis.

Estimated Time per Week: Students can expect to spend
approximately 8 to 10 hours per week reading, writing and taking exams.
Special Requirements: Access to a computer with current
software.
Assignments & Tests: Students will complete 11 chapter
discussions, 3 map assignments, 3 quizzes and one final exam.

Identification Procedures for directions on how to set up a proctor
for approval.
Additional Comments: Because this is a distance-learning course,
attendance is not an issue. Turning assignments in on time is. If you do
not meet the first assignment deadline, I will assume you do not wish to
stay in the class and drop you unless you contact me. After that, it is
your responsibility to drop the course. Drops will not be backdated.
