ECE 2051-40, Mentoring Collaborative Learning

This course is a study of the methods and principles of supervising student teachers, assistant teachers, parents and volunteers in early childhood education/child development classrooms. Emphasis is on the role of classroom teachers who function as mentors to new teachers while simultaneously addressing the diverse and special needs of children, parents, and other staff.

  • Estimated Time Per Week: Students can expect to spend approximately 8 to 12 hours per week reading, writing, and participating in class discussions.
  • Special Requirements: This entire course will be conducted on-line through the ETUDES program. Students are required to have Internet access, an active email account, the ability to use word processing, conduct Internet searches, attach files, send emails, and work independently.
