ECE 36H Legal and Ethical Issues in Early Childhood Education

This is a study of topics and issues of current interest in early childhood education. Units vary according to topic selected, semester offered, and number of meetings scheduled. This course is of interested to the student majoring in child development, social science, or general education.

    • Rental Textbook: Feeney, Stephanie and Freeman, Nancy K. Ethics and the Early Childhood Educator: Using the NAEYC Code. Washington, DC: National Association for the Education of Young Children, 1999. Check with the college book store for current pricing.
  • Estimated Time Per Week: It is expected that you will spend between 3-5 hours in reviewing lecture notes, reading, and completing assignments.
  • Assignments & Tests :  This course has 8 assignments.
  • Proctored Exams: There are no proctored exams required.
