ECE 2051-41 - Adult Supervision: Mentoring in a Collaborative Learning Setting

This course is a study of the methods and principles of supervising student teachers, assistant teachers, parents and volunteers in early childhood education/child development classrooms.  Emphasis is on the role of classroom teachers who function as mentors to new teachers while simultaneously addressing the diverse and special needs of children, parents, and other staff.

  • Advisory: Eligibility for English 1000 and Reading 1005 strongly recommended

  • Assignments & Tests: There are no tests. Students will keep a journal as well as complete 2 assignments each week. Students are expected to enter weekly discussions.
