What is an online class?

Online classes are General Education or Developmental classes that are just like the ones offered at your local college.  The main differences are:

bullet Are you self-motivated?
bullet Do you like to figure things out on your own and work by yourself?
bullet Do you like the challenge of working with new technology?
bullet Are you good at remembering deadlines without being reminded?

Then YOU should take a virtual class.

Does an online class transfer?

The information and assignments for an online class are the same as they are for the comparable on-campus class.

How much does an online class cost?

It costs the same amount as a regular on-campus course at your local college.

The same way you register for a class offered at your local college.

What computer skills do I need for an online class?

You don’t have to be a computer expert.  You only need to know how to:

  1. Computer, either IBM compatible or a Macintosh
  2. Modem, 56K or faster
  3. A web browser software, preferably Netscape 7 or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
  4. An email program
  5. A word processing program
