Taft College softball has enjoyed a rich tradition. Prior to 1987, they were in the Western State Conference where they won one conference championship and earned three second place finishes. Since 1987, and a berth in the Central Valley Conference, Taft amassed six conference championships in nine years and seven trips to the regionals. They earned a trip to the final eight in 1988.
