The mission of Taft College Library and Learning Resource Center is to provide ACCESS to SUCCESS! We support this mission through the following:
Success Strategies for Student Learning
- Provide universal access to informational and instructional resources
in a variety of enabling technologies reflective
of physical, cultural,
economic, learning, and other diversities.
- Offer information competency, research, and bibliographic instruction
using print, non-print, and electronic
resources and databases reflective of
developing educational technologies.
- Promote a variety of resources that support the Taft College
instructional resources program and curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one and small group tutoring for onsite and remote
Taft College students.
- Provide students with a learning-centered and encouraging
environment.
- Embrace student individuality and encourage each student to be the
best he or she be.
- Facilitate self-directed, independent lifelong learning.
- Partner with students, faculty, and staff members in support of
Library and Learning Resources strategies
for student success.
- Facilitate ongoing staff development of Library and Learning Resource, employees.
- Collaborate with other library and learning resources providers
through conferences, associations, consortia, and
related groups.
